I was watching that movie today on Lifetime. I thought this was going to be a ridiculously terrible movie but for some reason I watched it anyway.
I actually liked the movie. Some parts though, were corny and lame.
The movie is about these popular girls who make an ex-friend's life a living hell. They bully her and verbally attack her leading to a suicide attempt. It shows how cruel girls can be using their words to bully instead of physical actions. And even though physically, she isn't getting hurt, the words throw throw her into an emotional trainwreck.
I'm kind of glad I was never in that position, neither the one who bullies or the one who got bullied. I don't understand why people feel the need to put others down. Do they really feel that insecure about themselves that they have to hurt someone to make themselves feel better?
I cried a lot during this movie, pretty much every time someone in movie cried, I cried. I felt so bad about the mom. I fear having that hopeless feeling of being unable to help my kids, if and when I have kids, when they need it most. That would kill me. I feel bad now when I can't help my friends out of a problem.
But yes, good movie. Check it out.

Procrastinating like no other...
Procrastination is SO overpowering.
I have posts drafted but never published because I type up parts of it, get distracted, save it for later thinking I will come back to finish, but never do.
I went to my school's health center about two weeks ago and grabbed a pamphlet titled "Overcoming Procrastination". That pamphlet has been sitting on my desk for two weeks. I have yet to open it and read it. Ladies and gents, that is procrastination at it's best.
I should read it, but I think it's buried under a pile of newspapers that I never got around to reading and probably so old notes and homework.
My friend wrote me a letter in October of last year. She is still waiting for my reply. I need to get on that.

Hello there
Oh man it's been two weeks since I posted. I have an excuse: exams and midterms flying out my butt. I like how professors schedule exams all around the same time, so that I so conveniently have three exams in two days. Do they realize theirs is not the only class we're taking? Maybe they just want to torture us. I think I'd do that to my students. Not that I want to become a teacher. Because I really don't. I've realized that teens view themselves very highly and think they are the greatest things on earth. News flash, you're not. You're just loud obnoxious and annoying. Is this a sign that I'm getting old?
So I was thinking about something the other day. I heard this in a movie or something similar to it. The harder you try to stay awake, the faster you'll fall asleep and the harder you try to fall asleep, the longer you'll stay awake. I think that is SO true. That could explain why I fall asleep in every class, because I'm trying so hard to stay alert and pay attention. Also why I stay awake for hours in bed when I try to fall asleep. I wonder if that is scientifically proven. Someone should do research on that, thought I'm not sure how that can be proven. I think I heard about that in Saving Private Ryan.
I just recently watched that movie. Was I the only one who didn't watch it? I'm always the last to watch movies. For example, The Dark Knight. Many of my friends watched it five times before I watched it once. And I think they over hyped it because I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. Heath Ledger was pretty great in the movie though.

insomniatic thoughts
Is insomniatic a word...? Mmm well if it wasn't, it is now.
Just about every night I lay in bed for a good two or three hours before I fall asleep. Anyone know how to fix that? I'd try the warm milk thing but I gag at the thought of warm milk.
I also heard that warm milk smells gross? True or false?
Has anyone read any good books lately? Recommendations? I haven't picked up a book since I can remember. I think it's time I start reading again. And if not a good book, maybe a bad one? That should help put me to sleep. Assigned readings always put me to sleep in grade school and high school.
So this is weird, and I don't know if it's just me, but I often think about my friends or family dying... I don't know why I think about that. But I don't think about how they die. It's more like I picture my life without them or I picture myself at their funeral. And that always makes me feel extremely depressed, but I can't seem to help myself. I need to stop doing that. It can't be healthy.
I would really like to eat a churro right now...

Happy Valentine's Day
I hope everyone is enjoying the massively corporate sponsored holiday.
I went shopping with my friend last night so she could buy something for her boyfriend for today. Apparently we can't show love for our significant other now without spending some cash.
When did that happen? When did it become necessary to buy chocolates or roses or cards for people to show them that we care? Isn't being with them enough?
The aforementioned friend spent about four hours searching for the perfect gift for her boyfriend, only to end up buying a card for him. And, it was a card that she only liked and not loved because she was so tired of searching for a gift.
So not only do we have to drop down some green to show love, we have to stress out about what to drop that green on.
Oh Valentine's Day, how I love thee.
PS The only bright side I see to corporate holidays is the after holiday sale when all the candies and chocolates are steeply discounted.
